The Powassan Voodoos wrapped up their first prospects camp on the weekend.

Thirty players took part in the two day session at Memorial Gardens, with the NOJHL team running three scrimmages.

GM Chris Dawson says there could be a 50 percent turnover with the team this coming season and they like the talent they saw on the ice this past weekend.

“The depth on the back end was real good and many of those who attended have gotten the invite to our main camp,” said Dawson.

“I think we like the compete level of the players out there and that will be something we will be looking for as we continue to look at improving and building our roster for 2019-20.”

Dawson credits the Voodoos scouting, coaching and training staff for helping make the weekend event such a success.

Most of the attending players were invited to the Voodoos main camp, which goes in late August in Powassan.
