Quite the medal haul for CT33 Thunderbird swim team members at the Ontario Team Challenge this past weekend in Markham.

The Thunderbirds ranked sixth out of the 27 teams that competed at the event, bringing home 13 gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze medals.

Owen Baas, 10, earned highest points, breaking one club record in the 50 metre Back as well as breaking his previous records in six additional events.

Baas placed first in his 50m Fly adding to his total points.

Jenna Wall, 15, also broke her previous club record and earned gold medal in the 50m Breast.

Wall also placed first in the 100m and 200m Breast events.

Fia Diorio, 12, captured gold in her 100m Breast event.

Trael Daly Stevens, 16, captured first place in his 200m Free event breaking his previous record set earlier this year.

Other podium finishes were delivered by Jesse Hammond, 18, Evan Kilroy, 17, and Ayden Michaud, 15.

Swimmers with top ten performances were Cole Paralovos, 17, Albert Bouley, 12, Samuel Denomme, 15, Madilyn Reaume, 12, Ashely Girard, 18, Emilia Lainevool, 15, Madeline Tanner, 17 and Ayden Michaud, 15.

Personal best times were recorded by many CT33 Thunderbird swimmers, including Robby Baas, 12, Gabriel Cadieux, 14, Timothy Corbeil, 13, Myles Denomme, 12, Sheldon Kilroy, 15, Brody Marietti, 15, Noah Papatheodorou, 15, Gavin Wall, 13, Abigail Betsill, 12, Sydney Doidge, 14, Sophie Durocher, 11, Grace Hong, 13, Jillian O’Donnell, 16, Jaiden Paralovos, 15, Peyton Paralovos, 13, Ryleigh Paralovos, 11, Katie Sefton, 15, and Isabella Trottier, 10. Special mention to Annika Lainevool, 14, and Meghan Norman, 16.
