A special weather statement continues for the North Bay area.

Environment Canada says general rainfall amounts of 20-40 mm is possible, with periods of rain continuing into tomorrow (Monday).

The Conservation Authority says the forecasted rain and wind could impact water levels on the North Bay shoreline.

Officials say water levels on Lake Nipissing continue to rise and the Ottawa River remains extremely high at Mattawa.

Rising water levels, the forecasted rainfall and strong winds are concerns for Jocko Point Road.

Nipissing First Nation says volunteers are needed to help fill sand bags and reinforce sand bag walls.

Those looking to help out are asked to meet at the Jocko Point Fire Hall.

Here in the city, safety concerns have led officials to close the boat launches at Champlain Park and Sunset Park.
