An advisory about wildlife near Highway 11 between Trout Creek and South River.

A caller says no fewer than nine moose were spotted along that stretch of the highway in one day — prompting her to warn other drivers.

She suggests people keep watch for wildlife and slow down too.

OPP have charged 3 people from West Nipissing with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

The charges were laid after police executed a warrant at a residence in West Nipissing on Tuesday.

Police say they seized drugs suspected to be methamphetamine and amphetamine as well as approximately $6,500 of Canadian currency.

The drugs have a street value of $7,000.

One of the three was also charged with Possession of a Restricted or Prohibited Weapon.

A 48 year old French River man has been charged with possession of an opioid.

Police say OPP members were conducting an Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) initiative on Highway 69 on Tuesday when OPP determined cannabis was readily available to the driver.

Police say additional investigation revealed the presence of other substances.
