Just as police say they are downgrading their search for a pair of teenage murder suspects in northern Manitoba, a possible new sighting has been reported in northeastern Ontario.

OPP say they’re investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle around 10:30 yesterday morning in a construction zone on Hwy 11, near Kapuskasing, northwest of Timmins.

Social media posts suggest it was the two men from BC, but police say they cannot confirm the identity of the two men inside the vehicle.

They continue to investigate and are actively looking for the vehicle.

OPP also ask people to report suspicious activity directly to police and not through social media.

Here’s the OPP release:
At approximately 10:35 a.m., on July 31, 2019, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) James Bay Detachment in Kapuskasking received a report about a suspicious vehicle driving through a construction zone on Highway 11 in Kapuskasing.

At this time the OPP cannot confirm the identity of the people in the vehicle that was occupied by two males. The OPP is continuing to investigate this incident and is actively looking for the vehicle.

If you observe any suspicious vehicles or activity, do not approach, and contact 911 or the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.

Please don’t report suspicious activity through social media, call the police directly.
