North Bay Police have charged a 23 year old Scarborough male with fraud and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police say someone received an email indicating his cell number was randomly selected and he won the $320 000 Wild Card Game Lottery.

The victim received a $4000 cheque and instructions on cashing the cheque and transferring a monetary fee to release his winnings.

Police say the cheque was fraudulent and the victim lost the money that was transferred for the fee.
