Minor injuries after collision at O'Brien and Bypass

An update on a collision at the Bypass and O’Brien Street Tuesday morning at about 8:30 am.

OPP say a 10 year old child suffered minor injuries after riding their bike in the crosswalk on a red light and hitting a car.

Police are reminding parents to talk to their children about traffic safety, like walking bikes across intersections, waiting for the walking sign, looking both ways and walking on the left side of the street.

Drivers are reminded to be aware of their surroundings.
