Thirty grandparents associated with Living Fit Inside Out and their grandchildren are helping restore Chippewa Creek’s shoreline.

On Thursday they planted 900 seedlings as part of the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority’s Restore Your Shore planting program.

Thanks to funding from the TD Friends of the Environment 12 species of tree and shrub seedlings were planted in the raised beds of the newly constructed accessible starter tree nursery along the Chippewa Creek EcoPath.

Also involved were Trees for Nipissing volunteers.
