Good news for the North Bay Warming Centre

An update on the Warming Centre’s goal of setting up cots at the Gathering Place Soup Kitchen on Cassells Street this winter.

BayToday reports they’ve received city approval allowing for 10 cots.

They’re permitted under the building code, but to get any more than that there will need to be some minor adjustments made.

The goal is 15.

City officials tell BayToday a review is needed of the fire alarm system to have more than 10.
