The latest NHL Central Scouting ‘Players to Watch List’ is out and Battalion forward Brandon Coe continues to be a player to watch.

He’s in the ‘B’ category indicating a 2nd or 3rd round candidate.

The draft goes next June in Montreal.

The Nipissing Lakers men’s hockey team picked up a point in a 3-2 overtime loss to York last night at Memorial Gardens.

Jacob Hickey and Danny Desrochers scored for Nipissing.

The Lakers are back on the road this weekend to RMC on Friday and Ottawa on Saturday.

In OUA women’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers continue to hold down the number 10 spot in the USports national top 10 rankings this week.

The 6-1 Lakers visit the University of Toronto on Friday and Ryerson on Saturday.

 

A mid-week game for the Powassan Voodoos.

They’re home to French River tonight at 7 pm at the Sportsplex.

The Voodoos are looking for their 20th straight win.

Powassan is ranked 3rd again this week in the CJHL Top 20 national rankings.
