The North Bay Battalion hope a few games at home will start to turn their season around.

They play four of their next five at Memorial Gardens, including tonight against Hamilton.

The Troops have lost their last 10 games, with eight of them on the road.

Assistant coach Adam Dennis says they need home-ice advantage tonight.

“We want to take advantage of some of the home cooking. I think that’s important. We need to make this building a tough one to play in and to do that you have to come ready to play and to play hard,” Dennis says.

He says they’re making physical mistakes but that’s not the only issue.

“Some of it is mental. We’re a young group and I know it’s a broken record but to get older and to get more experience you have to learn form these times,” he says.

Dennis says they did see some positives on the road last weekend with a tough one goal loss in London, having a three goal lead in Windsor and a close game in Sarnia but the team has to learn from these situations.

The Troops will also have Liam Arnsby back in the lineup.

He’s been at the U17 event in Western Canada.

Broadcast time tonight is 6:50 on Country 600 CKAT.

Meantime, the North Bay Battalion are teaming up with Amelia Rising Sexual Violence Support Centre.

At tonight’s game they’re highlighting the local OHL ONSIDE partnership, which is all about supporting efforts to end gender-based violence.

The goal is to increase the understanding and awareness of the young player’s responsibility to demonstrate respect for women and people of all genders through actions and words.

Still with the Troops, one of the perks of being a Battalion season ticket holder includes a couple of free post-game skate events with the players.

Two sessions with Sarge and the Troops are coming up this Sunday and again on Sunday, Nov 24th.
