Legion Branch 23 is appealing to the public to help them find a new location so they can continue to serve their members, including our veterans.

Right now they’re leasing space on First Avenue West, but President Eileen Viau says they need to find a smaller and less expensive location to continue to operate.

We are in a crunch right now to find a cheaper place to rent and be able to maintain a Legion, and to maintain a Legion you have to have a charter,” she says.

“We’re looking for something ground floor level, probably something 2,500 to 3,000 square feet and a reduction in leasing costs,” Viau adds. “In the core of the city, which means we want to stay on this side of the overpass, so anywhere from the overpass to up the top of Thibeault.”

Anyone with information or leads on a potential location can contact Viau at 705-472-0390 or 705-472-4070, between Tuesdays and Fridays.
