A 42 year old city man is facing charges of assault and uttering death threats after a domestic-related incident yesterday morning on Galt Street.

Police responded to an argument that turned physical between a man and a woman who are in a relationship, but the man fled the area.

The victim, who was hit in the head and face area, did not require medical attention.

Last night police learned the man was at a Rose Avenue address and there may be firearms in the residence.

The Emergency Response Team arrested a person without incident and found a cloth bag with several long guns near the residence.

The investigation continues.
