In the NOJHL, Powassan had two games on the weekend.

First up, the Voodoos beat the Soo Eagles 9-3 on Friday, but then lost 4-2 on Saturday to the Soo Thunderbirds.

Powassan is back in action Thursday in Cochrane.

In OUA hockey, both Nipissing teams enter the holiday break on two game losing streaks.

Coupled with a loss last weekend to Queens, the Nipissing women enter the break after a 6-3 loss to York on Saturday.

In men’s hockey, the Lakers were on the road taking on UQTR where they lost 2-1 and 6-0.

Both Nipissing basketball teams lost to Ottawa and Carleton on the weekend.

The regular season resumes in January for all four teams.

 

A weekend split for both Canadore volleyball teams.

They both defeated Loyalist on Saturday, but lost to Durham yesterday.

The men’s and women’s teams are both 7-2 entering the holiday break.

In men’s basketball, Canadore is 0-10 after a loss to Mohawk on Saturday.

The season resumes in January for all three teams.
