A quiet week for the North Bay Battalion with just one game.

It’ll be Sunday afternoon against the Flint Firebirds.

Coach Stan Butler says the Firebirds have a high powered offense but the Troops have played well at home lately.

“We’ve won two out of our last three games at home which is promising. They’re a very good team and have been building for success for a few years,” he says.

The Firebirds are 4th in the West while the Troops are last in the East.

Butler says it’s important to stay positive as they are seeing good things from the young team that went 0-3 on the road last weekend.

“It’s tough to keep your confidence but we continue to focus on the positive things and keep the boys going in the right direction,” Butler says.

The game will mark the Battalion debut of newcomer Chad Denault who was acquired from Peterborough this week.

The Firebirds beat the Battalion earlier in the season in Flint.

Meantime, Battalion players will be joining the students at École élémentaire catholique Saints-Anges to help with their breakfast program between 8:30 am and 9 am this morning.
