If you’re thinking about filing a submission or objection involving North Bay’s incoming cannabis store time is running out.

Today (Monday) is the deadline.

BayToday reports that if approved the Tokyo Smoke cannabis store plans to open early in the new year in the Nipissing Plaza on Lakeshore Drive.

A permit will be issued to open the store unless the Commission finds it is not in the public interest to do so.

There are three items the registrar will deal with:
– Protecting public health and safety
– Protecting youth and restricting their access to cannabis
– Preventing illicit activities in relation to cannabis

The stores owner has told BayToday they will need at least 2-4 managers and 10-15 staff.

Tokyo Smoke already operates four stores in Ontario, six in Manitoba and one in Alberta.
