Local officials are once again putting Families First this New Year’s Eve.

The 26th annual Families First New Years Eve Celebration includes a family swim at the YMCA from 1 pm to 2:30 pm with many other events on the go from 5pm to 9pm at the Y, Memorial Gardens and Thomson Park.

There’s a family skate, inflatable bouncy land, giant games, interactive reptile shows and a fireworks finale tonight.

Admission is free but everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the North Bay Food Bank.

“We encourage all members of the community and their families to come down and join us in an evening of fun and entertainment,” said Brian Winkworth, Families First Committee member.

“The entire Committee would like to thank all of our sponsors and donors of this event.” said Wendy Prieur, Families First Committee member. “It wouldn’t be possible without you!”
