The North Bay Battalion have a relatively quiet week with just two games on the schedule.

This after playing six games in nine days.

The Troops will be shorthanded tonight against Mississauga and tomorrow in Sudbury, as Captain Brad Chenier is out for the final two games of his three game suspension.

Coach Ryan Oulahen sees this as an opportunity for other players to step up.

“We’re going to add somebody, We’re probably going to have Mason Primeau play of left wing on that top line and someone else will get a chance to play centre on Primeau’s line,” he says.

Chenier has 19 goals and 42 points this season.

The Battalion have also announced that their 2019 European import selection Martin Hugo Has, a Washington Capitals prospect has reported to the team.

Oulahen, who has a 4-4-2 record behind the bench for the Battalion, likes what he sees.

“We like some of the big play we’ve gotten from some guys and surprising action over the last two weeks. And there’s nothing but excitement as to what’s happening here,” Oulahen says.

Broadcast time on Country 600 CKAT tonight is 6:50 pm.
