The North Bay Battalion have traded captain Brad Chenier to Sudbury.

In exchange the Troops receive Forward Shane Bulitka, a conditiional 8th round pick in the 2022 OHL priority selection and a 3rd round pick in 2023.

In 38 games this season, centre Bulitka, who served as the Wolves’ captain, has 16 goals and as many assists for 32 points with 29 penalty minutes.

In four-plus seasons, he has 50 goals and 90 assists for 140 points and 104 PiM in 235 games.

Left winger Chenier has scored 19 goals and earned 23 assists for 42 points with 48 PiM in 37 games in the current campaign.

A fourth-round pick in 2015 from the Sudbury Wolves minor midgets, he played nine games, earning one assist, with the Troops in 2015-16, when he saw action in 52 games with the Rayside-Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, scoring 29 goals and adding 43 assists for 72 points with 77 PiM.
