Community sharps bin available in West Nipissing

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit has presented West Nipissing with a community sharps bin.

It’s located at the corner of Main and Queen Streets in Sturgeon Falls and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Officials say providing a place for people to safely discard sharps helps keep the community safer for everyone.

They also say it’s important that only loose sharps, like needles, or sharps in a puncture-proof container be put into the bin.
