One-day rotating strikes are planned all week across the province with the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario starting the job action today.

Strikes are taking place in York, Toronto and Ottawa today, with more planned elsewhere through Friday.

There’s no impact on local schools because of the planned ETFO rotating strikes, yet.

However, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation and the English Catholic Teachers Association are planning a one-day strike tomorrow (Tuesday January 21st.)

That will result in schools at the Near North Board and Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic Board being closed.

Again, that’s tomorrow.

Meantime, Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre has added another show next Sunday, for children impacted by the cancelled school showings of their production of Disney’s Frozen Junior.

Officials say three school shows had to be cancelled with escalating job action involving the Elementary Teachers Federation.

Tickets will be booked through the Capitol Centre for $5 and again for children impacted by cancelled shows.
