The 57th edition of Le Carnaval des Compagnons is underway, with some changes this year.
The school-based component has been cancelled because of the ongoing job action in education.
Concert-related programming in the schools will be rescheduled to a later date.
While community-based activities started this past weekend, the official opening ‘Evening of the Arts’ and musical performances take place Thursday at the Kennedy Gallery and Capitol Centre.
Saturday includes outdoor activities at Lee Park with the unveiling of Bonhomme Sunday afternoon at the Capitol Centre.

Here is the list of upcoming activities:
Feb 6th
– Evening of the arts – Kennedy Gallery (6:30 pm)
– Concert Les Gens du Nord with Ivory Labelle – Capitol Centre (7:30 pm) tickets are $20, available at Capitol Centre
Feb 7th
– Vive la Canadienne with Roadhouse – Elks Lodge (8 pm) – Club Members $10 or Non members $15, available at Caisse Alliance
Feb 8th
– Fun in the outdoors – Lee Park (12 to 4 pm) Free of charge
– Spaghetti Supper – Place Richelieu (4 to 6 pm) $10 at the door
Feb 9th
– Grand Gathering – Capitol Centre (1pm) Free of charge
– French version of Toy Story 4
– Unveiling of Bonhomme (2:45 pm) Free of charge
Feb 13th
– Concert Les Rats d’Swompe – Capitol Centre (7 pm) tickets $10 available at the Capitol Centre
