North Bay City Council has made it official so the city can gets funds from the province to pay for court security and prisoner transportation.

It was announced last month by MPP Vic Fedeli the city was receiving $664,000 this year, an increase of $34,000 but council would have to approve an agreement between the government and that was done last week.

The money will be forwarded to the Police Services Board to pay for court security and prisoner transportation in 2020.
