A call by OPSEU for the Colleges and Universities Minister and the Labour, Training and Skills Development Minister to put the Canadore College board Chair, President and a Vice-President on leave, and bring in an interim administrator.

OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas says the union met with 60 of its Canadore members last night and heard “shocking accounts” of workplace harassment and psychological abuse.

Thomas says Canadore has refused to publish the report on workplace culture received by the board earlier this week and the OPSEU members have agreed to release their statements to OPSEU for a report to be presented to both ministers.

Thomas has asked for a statement from the government indicating there will be no reprisals for workers who speak up.
