A scheduled presentation from the creative arts industry in North Bay starts off tonight’s regular council meeting.

There’s also a couple councillor motions on the agenda.

On top of one that looks to develop a naming and sponsorship rights policy there’s a motion involving high speed internet and E-Connectivity.

It looks to support efforts that aim to build a fibre and wireless access project in parts of the city and region.

Other reports coming to council include one from the Next Generation Task Force.

Recommendations there include mentorship, striving for inclusivity and diversity, telling the city’s story on affordability better, leveraging school boards, engaging young professionals on area boards and encouraging more feedback from the next generation and youth in the city.

Another report is Invest North Bay’s annual report for 2019.

Council will also vote on a recommended textiles ban at the landfill.

The earlier committee meeting will discuss reports from the Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee and the Municipal Heritage Committee.
