With the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the city and the Golden Age Club are partnering to offer a daily telephone reassurance program for seniors.

Mayor Al McDonald announced details in a video on social media.

“There’s a program called ‘Are You Ok?’ and it’s a partnership with the City of North Bay and Golden Age Club and it’s an ability for us to phone the seniors everyday to make sure they’re ok,” he says.

Enrolled seniors receive a daily call from a voice-activated computer program to check on their well-being.

“If you know of a senior or someone that needs this type of service, let us know,” McDonald says.

Residents can call 705-476-0890 to sign up.
