A special weather statement has been issued for the North Bay area.

Environment Canada says rain, heavy at times, is possible overnight tonight and tomorrow.

Total rainfall amounts could exceed 25 mm in some areas – with possible thunderstorms.

Meantime, the Conservation Authority’s third flood outlook of the spring has been issued for the weekend.

Officials say the move was prompted by the forecasted rain combined with snowmelt and spring-level water courses.

They say a Water Safety Statement – Flood Outlook gives early notice of the potential for flooding.
