The Health Unit is reporting an 11th case of COVID-19.

The latest case involves a man in his 80’s, who is hospitalized.

Transmission of the virus was through the community.

Four of the total cases are in hospital, six are resolved and one is in self-isolation.

This is the eighth case in Nipissing.

There are also three cases in Parry Sound.

 

The Health Unit website states municipalities in the District of Nipissing served by the Health Unit include: North Bay, Mattawa, Township of Bonfield, Township of Calvin, Township of Chisholm, Township of East Ferris, Municipality of Mattawan, Township of Papineau-Cameron, the Municipality of West Nipissing, Nipissing Unorganized North part, Nipissing Unorganized South part, Parry Sound Unorganized Centre part, Parry Sound Unorganized East part, Dokis 9, Reserve, French River 13, Reserve, Henvey Inlet 2, Reserve, Magnetewan 1, Reserve, Naiscoutaing 17A, Reserve, Nipissing 10, Reserve, Parry Island First Nation, Shawanaga 17 and 17B Reserve
