The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit website shows 18 cases of COVID-19 in the district.

Sixteen cases are resolved while two are in isolation.

Officials have also declared an outbreak at Cassellholme.

The Health Unit says a respiratory outbreak is declared with a single lab-confirmed case in a resident or staff member.

They say a man between the ages of 60-79 has tested positive, didn’t have any symptoms and is currently in an isolation unit at the facility.

Officials continue to wait for the test results on the rest of the 205 residents and 330 staff members.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Jim Chirico says there is no specific treatment for COVID-19.

It is important to remember that most people with COVID-19 have no symptoms or mild symptoms.

People who are mildly ill should isolate and care for themselves at home.

Most will recover in one to two weeks by simply treating the symptoms.
