A third round of grants from the COVID-19 Emergency Relief fund has been announced by the North Bay and Area Community Foundation.
The Mattawa Women’s Resource Centre will be receiving $2,500, as will the Mattawa Food Bank.

Those donations are from the Margaret and Eric Thomson Children’s Foundation.
As well, the Callander and District Food Bank, the Salvation Army and the Near North Palliative Care Network are each receiving $2,000.
That brings the fund’s total local impact to $22,500.

The fund was created in partnership with the Rotary Club of North Bay in March.
Officials say as the fund continues to grow it will allocate grants where the need is most pressing in the community.
They say the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund is putting local dollars in action for local causes.
