The Roman Catholic Diocese of Sault Ste Marie will be getting a new Bishop.

This after Bishop Marcel Damphousse announced in a letter to the faithful (pictured below) that the Pope has appointed him Coadjutor Archbishop of Ottawa-Cornwall.
He takes over his new role June 16th.

Bishop Damphousse was appointed the sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Sault Ste Marie in the fall of 2015, arriving from Alexandria-Cornwall.
