Stockfish Ford has been handing out Personal Protective Equipment locally.

Sales Manager Perry Olivier tells BayToday Ford Canada switched production from engines to face shields at their Windsor plant, and expects to produce 2.5 million by the end of May.

Dealerships are receiving 100,000 to hand out to front line health care workers.

He says dealership owner Mike Stockfish coordinated the local effort and they delivered the face shields to several local long-term care homes.

“200 of the shields, we went to Cassellholme, Nipissing Manor, Water’s Edge, Eastholme and Algonquin Nursing Home,” Olivier tells BayToday.

He says he was personally involved in four of the deliveries and the response has been great..

“It was overwhelming everybody was so thankful, they came out and thanked us. The appreciation was crazy, over the top, it was kind of nice to see,” Olivier says.
