Three organizations continue to look for applications, including locally, to a $350 Million Emergency Community Support Fund.

Last month The Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada and United Way Centraide Canada launched a call for applications to the fund.

Officials say COVID-19 has made it challenging for many organizations that provide vital services to address the needs of individuals who are vulnerable to the impacts of COVID-19.

They’re still looking for groups to tap into the federal money to continue their important work in the community.

Application deadlines vary, but are all in July.

In May, the North Bay and Area Community Foundation announced they would be providing $156,000 in funding for local charities through this program.
