A 36 year old North Bay woman has been charged after police received a report on Friday night of a disturbance at a Cassells Street convenience store.

Police say comments were made about damaging property and a person was holding a knife.

Property was damaged and later an arrest was made.

She’s been charged with uttering threats, mischief, possession of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

A 27 year old Sturgeon Falls men is facing charges after police seized a replica handgun, a quantity of drugs suspected to be Fentanyl and Crystal Methamphetamine and over $1500 of Canadian currency from an e -bike.

Police say the street value of the drugs is approximately $16,000.

The charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

A 26 year old Sturgeon Falls motorist has been charged with driving while impaired.

Police say early Monday morning they received a complaint regarding an erratic driver heading southbound on Highway 535 from Highway 17 in Hagar and subsequently made an arrest.

This is the 27th motorist charged with impaired within the Nipissing West detachment area this year.
