Nipissing West OPP have identified the name of the driver killed in a two vehicle collision last Thursday on Highway 17 near Jocko Point Road.

Police say 29 year old Andre Côté of Hanmer was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say their investigation revealed the westbound pick up truck crossed the centre line and collided head on with an eastbound tractor trailer.

The pick up truck became engulfed in flames on impact.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

A driver in the Papineau-Cameron Township area received serious non life threatening injuries when the UTV he was in rolled over last week.

Police say the driver and passenger had been thrown from the UTV and the passenger received minor injuries.

It is suspected that both occupants were not wearing seatbelts or helmets.

Three people from North Bay have been charged following the execution of a search warrant at a Gorman Street residence in North Bay.

Police seized over $12,000 (street value) in suspected fentanyl and more than $1800 in Canadian currency from the residence.

This was the 2nd search warrant at this residence in the last two weeks.

The charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
