The province is providing $3 million in funding for reconstruction and resurfacing work on Trout Lake Road.

MPP Vic Fedeli announced the Connecting Links funding.

“Our government is putting people first with an investment that will strengthen our roadways in the District of Nipissing”, said MPP Fedeli.

Details of the Trout Lake Road project include:
– Asphalt milling of existing surface, crosswalk upgrades, storm water management rehabilitation, culvert replacement, traffic signal upgrades and repaving.
– The proposed schedule for this work is as follows; engineering/design to be completed in 2020 and construction taking place in 2021.
– Total length of this proposed construction is 1.6km.

“Our roads and bridges are vital links that connect people to jobs and make it easier for people to get where they need to go,” said Caroline Mulroney, Minister of Transportation. “The additional funding for the Connecting Links program will help even more municipalities keep families safe, goods moving, and drive economic growth and job creation in their communities.”
