More details after man arrested with a loaded firearm Tuesday night

An update on a city police tweet about a man with a loaded sawed off shotgun being arrested on Tuesday night.

Police say the call came in just before 11 pm Tuesday, that a man was walking in the 600 block of Cassells Street when another man he doesn’t know pointed a firearm in his direction.

Police responded and arrested the suspect in a Cassells Street parking lot.

The loaded gun was seized by police.

37 year old Daniel St Louis is facing six charges including pointing a firearm.

37 year old male arrested last night for several firearms related offences:
Carry concealed weapon
Pointing a firearm
Possession of a prohibited weapon
Poss Weapon for dangerous purpose
Breach of prohibition order
Breach of probation.
He has been remanded into custody.

Investigation continuing into breakin in the city’s west end. Male not located.
Weapons call about 30 min ago, male located with a loaded 12 ga sawed off shotgun. Thankfully no one hurt. Male in custody and held for bail.
