Mike Schenk, a member of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s North Bay Enforcement Unit has been named Conservation Officer of the Year by a provincial body.

Ontario Conservation Officers Association President Sean Cronsberry says Mike is a very deserving recipient of this year’s award.

He says he has been an invaluable asset to our profession over the years, both as a skillful investigator and as an instructor.

His career highlights include two life saving awards and an OPP Commissioner’s Commendation

Mike was also awarded the MNRF Conservation Officer of the Year Award and he will be receiving the Shikar-Safari Club International Ontario Wildlife Officer of the Year Award and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) Conservation Officer of the Year Award,
