The Capitol Centre says gathering sizes will have to increase quite a bit more before they can host movies or live entertainment in a financially responsible way.

Officials say stage three of the provincial opening, which started last Friday locally, only allows for gatherings of up to 50 people indoors.

“We will continue our virtual programming efforts including our benefit concerts on our Facebook page since we can’t yet host live events with large gatherings in the theatre. ” says Katina Connolly, Executive Director. “However, we are excited to share that the WKP Kennedy Gallery is open and now welcoming visitors by appointment only for exhibition viewings.”

Stage three does allow current staff working remotely to look at migrating from their home offices back into the facility over the coming weeks.

The new 2020-21 programming season will be introduced this fall with performances taking place in the winter and spring which officials hope will allow sufficient time for gathering sizes to grow.

Anyone interested in visiting the new OUR BODIES, OUR LAND exhibition at the WKP Kennedy Gallery are asked to pre-book their visit by emailing Alix@kennedygallery.com .

Visitors to the gallery are also required to wear a mask and respect physical distancing with those not in their social bubble.
