Two North Bay residents, a 38 year old male and a 48 year old female, have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say they conducted a traffic stop yesterday afternoon on Second Avenue and uncovered suspected drugs and Canadian currency.

Police seized 80 grams of suspected cocaine, 1.8 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, $1,840 dollars of Canadian currency and a set of digital scales.

The male was also charged with possession of a substance and possession of property obtained by crime.

A 19 year old city man is facing charges in connection with a Conducted Energy Weapon being brandished..

Police say they received three separate complaints.

Police say on August 5th on a North Bay bus, a man was asked to leave and police say as he left he brandished a black handheld CEW and caused it to arc, meaning to make electrical current spark.

Police say other incidents happened on August 13th at a Josephine Street store and August 14th at a Worthington Street business.

The charges include Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of a Prohibited Device and Possession of a Schedule 3 Substance allegedly identified as Xanax.
