The Stay on Your Feet strategy has created a new website and Facebook page to help improve the quality of life for older adults across Northeastern Ontario.

They’re promoting three key messages, including Let’s Be Active! Let’s Be Social! and Let’s Be Strong!.

Their website, stayonyourfeet.ca includes a variety of activities, tools and resources to help adults stay healthy, active and independent as they age.

Officials say during the pandemic, the new online offerings will showcase options for virtual programming and tips that can help keep older adults connected to family and friends and engaged in their communities.

Funded by the Northeast LHIN and in partnership with Northeastern public health units, Stay On Your Feet brings a variety of community partners together to coordinate and implement a strategy focused on supporting older adults and promoting healthy aging including falls prevention.
