Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the Cassellholme redevelopment project is going to tender.

He says the project will upgrade the existing 240 beds and add 24 long term care beds.

Fedeli says it’s an exciting day.

“The hard working people and the hard working board at Cassellholme year after year have been trying to get this project in the ground. It seems decade after decade and now they’ve received word they can go to tender,” he says.
Fedeli says this is something that has been in the works for a long time.

“Everything has been waiting for this to be able to get this tender out. I think everybody is lined up and I expect the results sometime in the next two months,” he says.

Fedeli says when the works done the facility will include a 16-bed provincial Indigenous unit and two, 12-bed units dedicated for specialized dementia care.
