No injuries after mental health patient grabs at officers gun at the hospital

North Bay Police say there were no injuries after a mental health patient grabbed an officer’s gun, while in it’s holster, at the hospital last night.

Police say the officer maintained control of the weapon, and the patient was secured.

They say the incident initially began as a calm encounter, but quickly escalated.

Charges are pending.
