This Thanksgiving, Dolly Parton showcased her versatility by taking on dual roles as a rockstar and a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. In the halftime show of the Cowboys’ holiday game against the Washington Commanders on November 23, the 77-year-old entertainer embraced the iconic cheerleader look of the Texas team. Sporting a blue cropped top with a plunging neckline, along with a white vest and shorts adorned with stars, Parton engaged the crowd by asking their opinion on her new attire.

Addressing both teams, she playfully urged, “Hey Cowboys and Commanders, stop fighting and sing along with me.” Parton kicked off her performance with the classic 1973 hit “Jolene” and seamlessly transitioned into another chart-topper, “9 to 5,” accompanied by the Cowboys’ cheerleaders.

The cheerleaders remained on the field, joining Parton in a rendition of Queen’s “We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You,” a track featured on her recently released rock album. This halftime concert occurred less than a week after Parton dropped her inaugural rock album, “Rockstar,” on November 17, marking a bold departure from her acclaimed five-decade career as a globally recognized country music legend.
