Over $175,000 taken from city man in his late 80's

An ongoing city police fraud investigation has led to charges for a 57 year old woman from Niagara Falls.

The victim is a North Bay man, in his late 80’s.

It’s alleged a woman lived with the victim providing caregiving services and over a period of a year transferred over $175,000 of the victim’s money into her personal bank account.

She’s facing theft, fraud and breach of trust charges.

Her name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
