Influenza detected in our district with four known cases

 Across the province there have been 108 cases of influenza detected, according to Public Health Ontario reports, and now there are four cases locally.

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit says this shows the flu is circulating in our district. To prevent the spread of the flu the Health Unit says you should do the following; get your flu shot, wash your hands often, cover you coughs and sneezes and stay home if you are sick.

Anyone 6 months of age or older and living in Ontario can get their free flu shot from their doctor’s office or local pharmacy.
