A 28 year old city man is facing a theft under $5,000 charge after an incident at a local store earlier this month.

It’s alleged a $500 air nailer was stolen.

Police released a photo from video surveillance after the April 5th incident and say thanks to media cooperation, a city resident and Crime Stoppers the person was identified by police.

The accused has a May 8th court appearance.

An 18 year old North Bay male has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.

Police laid the charge after they received reports of suspicious males in the area of O’Brien Street and Hutcheson Avenue.

Police say they recovered tools and 10 grams of Marijuana.

North Bay Police are investigating a break in early Friday morning at a business on Fisher Street.

Police say two people in dark clothing gained access to the business and once inside one of the suspects broke open a sunglasses display and removed several pairs.

The other took some sporting goods.

The total value of the items taken is estimated to be more than $6,000.
Police say a older model light coloured extended cab pickup truck was observed in the area.
