The city and its new favourite son premiered on Bravo last night (Tuesday).

A special screening was held at the Capitol Centre with actor Jerry O’Connell.

He says North Bay is like a character in their show Carter, which was filmed here last fall.

O’Connell says they’re a Canadian show and with that comes talking about Canada, and specifically North Bay.

“I’ve been doing press for it all week and everybody loves it when I drop the North Bay wisdom on them,” he says.

O’Connell says doing the show has been nothing but a great time, not only for him, but for his family too.

“My daughters came here in September, early October and they were right in Nipissing, if you remember how warm it was last fall. That’s the first time I’ve seen them do something non-iPad related in their young lives,” he says.

The 10-episode season of Carter airs Tuesday nights at 8 pm on Bravo.
