Motorists are dealing with a gas price hike in North Bay.

The price for a litre of regular is now around $1.38.

That’s up about eight cents.

At last check, the national average is just under $1.35, according to gasbuddy.com.

The energy ministry website shows the price for gas last year at this time in North Bay was about 19 cents cheaper per litre.

The data also shows the average price hasn’t been this high in North Bay since July 2014.
