The forecast looks good for the spring thaw

The Director of Public Works says they’re not too worried at this point about the likelihood of flooding in North Bay.

This despite milder temperatures and the snow melt.

Nick Schiavone says the long range forecast looks good, with sunshine during the day and cooler temperatures in the evening. 
Meantime, he says the snow removal work continues.

Schiavone says they started last week, continued on the weekend and this week they’re on High and King Streets among others.

They are also checking out some catch basins where there is some local puddling.
